About Lisa - Starlit People’s Founder
The consultancy is led by Lisa, someone who has never fitted neatly into the traditional corporate mould, and that's exactly what gives her work it's strength. Lisa is alternative, grounded, and deeply empathetic, with a genuine understanding of what it feels like to work on the frontline. Her career began through housekeeping, retail, and then warehousing, and logistic operations, long before she moved into HR and Health & Safety management. She’s done the physical work herself, lived the pressures, and understands the realities that teams face every day.
That lived experience shapes everything she does. It means her guidance is practical, human, and rooted in real-world insight, not theory or corporate jargon. Lisa relates naturally to frontline workers because she has been one. She support managers with clarity and calm because she has been in their shoes. And she brings a high standard of work without the stiffness or detachment that often comes with traditional consultancy.
Lisa’s approach is warm, honest, and quietly alternative, blending professionalism with empathy, creativity, and a brighter perspective. It's this combination that gives Starlit People it's edge: practical guidance delivered with humanity, understanding, and a touch of starlight.
Lisa holds the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health & Safety, IOSH Managing Safely, and is a certified Mental Health First Aider, having completed her latest refresher training in October 2024.She also completed Menopause Champion training in November 2024, further enhancing her ability to support inclusive and equitable workplace experiences.
Her leadership style is rooted in empathy, fairness, and clarity. She is known for building trust quickly, navigating sensitive situations with professionalism, and championing people‑first practices that support both organisational performance and employee wellbeing.
As the Founder and Director of Starlit People, Lisa brings together her operational depth, HR expertise, and wellbeing‑focused approach to help organisations create cultures where people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

Lisa Mason is an experienced Senior HR and Health & Safety Manager with a strong track record of leading people‑focused, compliant, and inclusive workplace practices. She has worked in HR and Health & Safety management roles since 2018, progressing into senior leadership through a combination of hands‑on experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to employee wellbeing.
Alongside her HR and Health & Safety expertise, Lisa brings over 20 years of total experience in warehouse, logistics, and operational environments, giving her a uniquely grounded understanding of how people, processes, and safety intersect in fast‑paced, high‑demand settings. This dual background enables her to design policies, training, and wellbeing initiatives that are both operationally realistic and strategically aligned.
